Garrett returns, once again, in Thief 2: The Metal Age. The one time Keeper Acolyte, turned master thief thanks to their training, finds himself an unwilling participant in the Keeper prophecies that portend a coming of a metal age.

Garrett, in order to save his own life, must use all of his talents to discover why the newly elected and corrupt sheriff, Gorman Truart is trying to kill him. He will unearth scriptures written by Karras, the leader of the splinter group known as the Mechanists, eavesdrop on conversations and frame an unsuspecting victim.
